SUNFLOWER DISTILLED FATTY ACIDS
Fatty acids extracted from sunflower oil consist mainly of oleic, linoleic, and palmitic acids. The density of these fatty acids is normally around 0.90 to 0.95 g/cm³. The melting point temperature of sunflower fatty acids is approximately 22 to 25 °C.
Industrial applications use sunflower-derived fatty acids in the production of soaps, cosmetics, and as starting materials for a wide variety of chemical synthesis. The versatility and desirable composition of these fatty acids make them important for formulations in personal care products and food processing uses. In addition, sunflower fatty acids find their way into biodiesel applications because of their potential in being renewable and sustainable materials.
