Acid Oil

Use of Acid Oil

1. Biofuel Industry
The acid oil is still one of the most feasible and effective feedstocks for biodiesel production. Due to the high content of free fatty acids, it is applicable in esterification for the production of biodiesel. The process converts FFAs into fatty acid methyl esters, making this a very cost-effective alternative to help reduce dependence on conventional fuels and one that is sustainable.

2. Animal Feed Sector
In the animal feed industry, acid oil still has good value as a strong source of energy, specifically in feed formulations for ruminants. Its high calorific value aids in better weight gain and increased overall feed efficiency. However, careful formulation and strict quality control are necessary to ensure the safety and nutritional soundness of the feed due to free fatty acids present in the feed.

3. Soap Industry Acid oil remains one of the favored options in soap manufacture, particularly for industrial grades such as laundry and cleaning agents. Free fatty acids provide easy saponification, thus, making it a cheap element in producing soaps with strong cleansing ability plus good foaming properties.
